Mumbai’s happiest flea market festival, The Lil Flea has so far been synonymous with shopping, food and music with its highly curated selection of 250+ pop up shops, 60 delectable food brands and 12 indie bands. But there’s more, lot’s more in store this time to spend your time through the weekend.
Sit back and watch a movie under the stars
Tired of settling for the usual ‘Netflix & Chill’ binge? Need a weekend upgrade? Heading out is a good way to get started. And no, we don’t mean to the theatre. The Lil Flea presents ‘Midnight Movies Sessions’ so you can watch your favourite films under the stars, with a drink in one hand and popcorn in the other. Catch a movie from 10 PM to midnight, every night, over the 2 weekends of The Lil Flea. Movies include the French cult classic “Amelie”, Audrey Hepburn’s “Roman Holiday”, Jack Nicholson’s “As Good as It Gets” and Bicycle Thieves.
Grab a drink
If the weekend calls for a drink or two, make sure you drop by to Stage Left; a first of a kind Festival Bar Experience co-curated by BarCzar and The Lil Flea. Placed right next to the music stage, listen to the music as you choose from a delectable selection of handpicked cocktails, beer and wines from the city’s best bars including Bombay Cocktail Bar, Barking Deer and The Stables with their signature cocktails, micro breweries like White Owl and Brewbot, Sula Selections, Fruity Sangrias by Woodside and Alcohol Slushes by Cool Story.
Be the first ones to check it out before it makes its way to festivals around the country.
Trade your book for another
Take a good hard look at your bookshelf. If you find a few you’ve read more than once, and some that have been left untouched, here’s a chance to trade them for books you’ll actually read. The Lil Book Exchange makes its way back to The Lil Flea after last season’s exceptional response. If you want to add to your book collection or simply meet a fellow book enthusiast, this one’s for you.
When was the last time you did something for the first time? This unique workshop teaches you how to get playful with charcoal. So, whether you’re an artist or simply curious, swing by to get your creative juices flowing.
Learn the Art of Storytelling
Everyone has a story to tell. Stories can spark emotions, inspire or teach. Come learn the Art of Storytelling in an engaging workshop hosted by Bombay’s premier story telling collective, Kommune. Listen to the masters of storytelling share their stories or share your own, this workshop is definitely a great way to interact with like-minded folks.
